How has everyone been coping with the latest heatwave? We've had every fan possible going here, but the house has still been reaching ridiculous temperatures. Thank god it's meant to be cooler again after the weekend. Sorry I've not been around much lately, been busy preparing and organising for the Cardiff and Vale Unpaid Carers Assembly in November.

I was watching an episode of 9-1-1 last night and it was the first episode of season 4 where they're just starting to come out of the initial lockdowns in 2020. Reminded me of what a terrifying time it was for many people and also how that even 3 years later I've only just started feeling safe about going out in public more and not wearing a mask all of the time. Still mask up in hospitals. at the GP surgery and on crowded trains, but I actually now feel safe going into public spaces without masking up first.

After waiting for almost 18 months we finally have a social worker coming out next week to complete the needs assessments for both my parents and myself

What type of music does everyone like? My main genre of interest is rock and heavy metal, but I also have a taste for a wide range of other genres. No rap music though. Been to several concerts in my lifetime and first concert was the Gary Moore After the War tour way back in 1989. I've also seen War of The Worlds performed live with Jeff Wayne conducting the orchestra and Liam Neeson as the narrator. One of my all time favourite gigs was when I got to Jean Michel-Jarre perform live in Cardiff.
